KIERSTEAD Donald Robert The passing of Donald Kierstead of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Gail (Johnson) Kierstead, occurred on January 16, 2021 at York Care Centre. Don was born on August 29, 1936 in Fredericton, NB. Don worked as a carpenter for many years and was dedicated to family, church and helping challenged adults. Don and Gail had in their care challenged adult males who became a part of their family. He manned suicide hot lines and helped wherever he could. Don and Gail lived for many years in St. John's NL and also leave many friends behind there. Don will be sorely missed by his son Paul (Anda) and granddaughter Sabrina both of Kanata, ON as well as his sister Bea Giggy. Due to the current health situation, a Celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in the Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Cemetery, at a later date.
