DOWNEY Doris May (nee Burry) Passed away with peace in her heart on October 16, 2019, Doris Downey aged 95 years. She was Predeceased by grandson Deanie; husband Jack; daughter Darlene Hanlon; son in law Wayne Yetman; daughter in law Lorraine; son Dean and brother Dean Burry. Leaving behind with fondest memories her children: Shirley Yetman, Butch (Rita), Dave (Sharon), John (Sharon), Wanda (Jeff) Blackwood and Kim (Colin) Cassell; special friend Carmel Jordan; her adoring 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren, she loved all children; also, a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday October 17 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday October 18 from 12-9 p.m. and Saturday October 19 from 10-12 Noon. Funeral service will take place on Saturday October 19 from the Salvation Army Citadel at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Salvation Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Flowers gratefully accepted.
