Dr. David George Pitt
A funeral service will be held at 11 oíclock, Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Gower Street United Church to honour the life of Dr. David George Pitt, Memorial University Professor Emeritus, author, editor and scholar, biographer of the poet EJ Pratt. He died peacefully on March 22, 2018 aged 96, husband of the late Marion (Woolfrey) Pitt. Father of Ruth Pitt Francis and Robert (Janet Miller Pitt); grandfather of Pamela Francis (Mitch Proulx and step-son Sam), David Francis (Sitka Polk), Rosalind (Francis) Lawrence (Matthew), Elizabeth, Emily, Jamie and David R. Pitt (Catherine Caldwell).
