Edith Marion Houlihan

Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s, on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, age 94 years, Edith Marion Houlihan of Manuel’s, Conception Bay South. Predeceased by her husband Joseph, twin brothers Archibald and Caleb Smith and sisters Rachel Greenslade and Ethel Nicholson. Leaving to mourn sons: Robert (Judy), Neil (Rosalyn), Max (Wendy); and grandchildren: Kathryn (Courtney), Cory (Maya), Karl (Sarah), Christopher (Tiffanie) and families; her brother Gordon Smith, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the 4 South B Health Science medical staff especially Dr. Brian Harnett and nurse Jill Sexton, and to the Smith family for their care and assistance over the last few years, especially Andrew Badcock. The family also wishes to thank Harry and Betty Rowe and Terry Scott for their many calls and visits to our mom throughout the years. Remains resting at Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews with visitation on Friday, July 13th from 2-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, July 14th at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail, with interment at the Topsail Anglican Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or a donation in memory of Edith can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
