Edith Maud Martin

MARTIN Edith Maud (nee Adams) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maud Martin, on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in her 99th year. Loving wife of Frederick Martin (deceased, 2000). Eldest of 9 children to parents, Samuel and Lillian (nee Mitchell). Adored sister to Pearl (her twin sister) and Cordelia “Del”; and predeceased by her siblings: Ron, Hebert, Cecil, Harold, Freda and Patricia “Pat”. Maud will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in both Newfoundland and Toronto. Special thank you to the staff of Agnes Pratt Home for the care and compassion shown to Maud during her time there. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, with visitation on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 2:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 23, at 11:00am with a reception to follow at Barrett’s Reception Centre. Interment to take place at a later date at Pine Hill Cemetery, in Toronto. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Maud’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
