Edna Barnes

Passed peacefully away on September 21, 2018, at the Health Science Centre, Edna Barnes, originally from Rencontre East, Fortune Bay, aged 96 years. Predeceased by her husband Randell, parents Jesse and Albert Baker and her special granddaughter Christine. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories her sons: Albert (Mercedes, deceased), Sam (Frances), Ken (Bernice); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Lilly (Cyril), Millie (Wilfred), Bessie (Bill); sisters-in-law Hannah, Beatrice, Amy (deceased) and Marjorie. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Sept. 25, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at 11 am with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Edna’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
