PEDDLE Edward George Edward George Peddle 86 years young of Mt Pearl (formally Norman’s Cove). Passed peacefully away on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Reunited with his loving wife Ethel Mae Peddle after 22 months; brothers: Gerald Peddle & Melvin Thorne. Left to mourn but celebrate his life are daughters: Valeria Smith (Calvin), Edwina Howell (Jason), son Paul Peddle; grandchildren: Sara Hawkins (Thomas), Christopher Smith (Adrienne), Justin, Emily & Matthew Peddle and their mother Kim Peddle and Nathan & Emma Howell. great granddaughters: Kristina & Kathryn Hawkins & great grandson Theo Smith. Also, leaving to remember the wonderful times are his sisters- in- laws: Marina Peddle, Fannie Thorne, Susie Milley, Cicley Pretty, Hilda Slade and Maisie Ricks; brother- in- law Jack Slade (Vivian) and special cousin Barry Smith. Edward’s quirky sense of humour and heated conversations will be dearly missed by his Homecare workers, who he treated like daughters Betty, Irene & Andrea. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of cousins, nieces & nephews and his church family. Many thanks to Dr. Essaji for his constant care and home visits over the last few years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pearl. Interment to follow on Monday. No Flowers by his request.
