Edward Howard

Formerly of Daniel's Cove Peacefully at his residence in Hastings on Sunday, February 18, 2018, Ed Howard, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Beryl (nee Butler) for over 64 years. Dear father of Karen of Hastings, Diane of Warkworth, Susan (Steve Gregg) of Prince Edward County and Linda (Mike Connors) of Belleville. ‘Poppy’ will be sadly missed by Christopher, Joshua, Matthew, Danielle, Michael and Andrew. Brother of Frank (Thelma), Gene (Marilyn) and the late Margaret Coombes (Leo) and Ron Howard. Brother-in-law of Kay. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ed worked as a driver with the TTC for 25 years. He managed the Local arena in Hastings in the 70’s and was an entrepreneur along with his wife Beryl. He will be remembered for his love of playing bridge, crosswords and anything to do with Newfoundland. Open House at 11 Darnley Street, Hastings 2-4 pm Sunday, February 25, 2018.
