Margaret Mary PENNEY

PENNEY Margaret Mary Passed peacefully away on April 8, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, Margaret Mary Penney age 74. Predeceased by loving parents Michael and Mary Penney (nee Hartery) and her brothers John and Frank. Sadly, missed by her loving daughter and best friend Brenda and son-in-law Bob Lee, who is a better son than mom could ever have. He never hesitated not once to be there for mom and made her last year’s as graceful as possible. Also, leaving two precious grandchildren. Nan’s boy Riely (Abby) and her sunshine Willow (Andrew). She Loved them all dearly. Her brothers and sisters: David, wife Karen, Joan and her husband Edwin Rose (I know you’ll miss your daily chats uncle Eddy), Father Bill Penney (who was her guardian angel), Anna and Ron (always so proud of your letters and your big heart), Christine and Peter Winters (although you were the baby girl you were always the strongest of the Penney clan) and last but certainly not least her best friend and brother Terry. She loved Terry as if he was her own. Together they shared their beloved dog Blackie whom I promise will be well cared for. Along with Bob came his beautiful girls, Ashley, Kristin (Jordan), Tara and their sweet children: Rae-Rae, Quinn, Lux, Dax and Jordan. The house was always full with little feet and mom loved it. She had several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She always talked about Chrissy working the pandemic in Toronto. Penny, Maggie, Laura and Mary, Mom always spoke about your accomplishments daily. She was so proud. It was only Tuesday she watched a video of Sweet Kathyrn and Michelle and she forced a smile. She was delighted when Melissa and Stephanie came for a visit to Petty Harbour and stayed with her. Mom had a lifelong friends: Glenda Reid, Sadie Perry, Rae and Margaret-Anne McCarthy. You were all her sisters by choice. Also, her friend Fernando Riveras. Many cousins and friends from the Penney and Hartery family. A very special thanks to Cassie Ward for her endless hours with mom. To Mary, Krista, Marie, Abby and Kellie, she sure was a card and appreciated all you ladies. I know you all had some laughs. Her nurses, Kelly and Nicole were just awesome. Her social worker Catherine went above and beyond for mom to see that her last residence was Chancellor Park. And of course, the staff at Chancellor Park, all of you are phenomenal. My mom’s stay here at the end of life was beyond spectacular. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for her to be in. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 a private family service will take place on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. and can be viewed online at a link www.cauls.ca No flowers please donations to SPCA. My mom was a legend with a heart as big as the ocean. Please toast to her, have a dance, a time. It’s what she loved. Loves ya mudder xxoo
