HOOD Eleanor Passed peacefully away at her home surrounded by her family, Eleanor Hood (nee Driscoll) age 94 years. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, sister Dorothy Didham; nieces, Debbie Courtney (Scott), Jennifer Randell (Andy), nephews, Jeff Driscoll (Lorna), Craig Driscoll (Debbie) and Glen Didham (Peggy); cousin Ella Bailey; grand nieces Erin, Deidre & Shannon, grand nephews Ian, Kieran, Marc and Gregory, as well as a large circle of friends. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Charles; parents Chesley & Irene (nee Williams) Driscoll, brother Gordon and sister-in-law Helen, brother-in-law Joe Didham. She worked for over 40 years as Executive Assistant to the Regional Director-General of the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans. After she retired, Charles and Eleanor spent winters in Florida and summers at Three Island Pond. A loving sister and aunt, she was always a big part of all of her family’s lives and will be greatly missed. She always loved to cook for and entertain family and friends. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Tiffany Village, for all the love, support and exceptional care they have given Eleanor over the past 7+ years. Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation. To send a message of condolence please visit www.barretts.ca A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in Eleanor’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
