Elizabeth Kean (nee White)

It is with sadness that we the family announce the passing of Elizabeth Kean (nee: White) on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, St. John’s. Born on December 3, 1936 she was the eldest daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine White of St. Brendan’s. Elizabeth will be forever loved and remembered by her children Thomas (Ruby), Kathleen, Terrence, sisters Angela Oversen (Gerald), Kathleen Smith (William) and Margaret Croke (Richard), along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and all those who held the opportunity to recognize Elizabeth as friend. Beside her parents she was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Thomas, whom she wed January 22, 1963, brothers Walter, Thomas, Louis and Lawrence. In keeping with her personal wish, visitation will take place from St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, December 16. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Brophy on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM follow by burial in the parish cemetery immediately following. Elizabeth will be forever remembered for her great faith, prayer, support of the Roman Catholic Church and local parish life and events.
