Elizabeth Lambe

LAMBE Elizabeth (nee Mahon) Our hearts are forever broken and our lives forever changed as we mourn the loss of a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great Aunt, Great-Great Aunt, Sister and friend. Elizabeth Catherine Lambe (Betty) (nee Mahon) of Torbay, born September 15th, 1947, aged 72 years, passed peacefully away at her residence in Torbay, October 19th, 2019. Predeceased by her parents, William and Ellen Mahon, parents-in-law, John and Annie Lambe, brother Douglas, brothers-in-law Gus Lynch, and George Codner, sisters-in-law Patricia Lambe and Barbara Lambe. Leaving to mourn with many cherished memories her husband of 52 years, William; sons Darren (Kellie) St. John's, Glen (Cathy) Burton, NB, daughter, Tina Fitzpatrick (David), CBS. Five grandchildren, Andrew Hicks, Travis Hicks, Stephen Mercer, Brandon Lambe (Maude) and only granddaughter and Nan's special girl, Karleigh Fitzpatrick. Five Great-Grandchildren, Tia Gatehouse, Janice Hicks, Sophie Hicks, Kayson Moorcroft and Miyah Mercer. Also leaving to mourn with loving memories are her sisters, Marie Lynch, Torbay, Carmel Power (William), Outer Cove, Margaret Codner (Gord) Torbay, and brother Tony Mahon, Torbay. Sisters-in-Law, Rosemary Cox (Ron) British Columbia, Bernadette Leal, NS, brother-in-law, John Lambe (Rene), Clementsport, NS. Special cousins Eleanor, Geraldine, Jeanette and Mary, her life was made richer by numerous special friends, especially Joe and Marilyn Coady, and Sheila Dooley. A very special thank you to Rosemore Homecare and especially Brenda, the most loving, compassionate home care worker and friend that went above and beyond when taking care of Mom. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay, Tuesday, October 22 from 1 p.m.- 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 23 from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from Holy Trinity Parish, Torbay, on Thursday October 24th, 2019 at a time to be announced. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association.
