Elizabeth "Libby" Hogan

Passed away peacefully on March 17th at the age of 87 Libby Hogan of St. John’s. Predeceased by her sisters Bobbie and Jean, brother John by her husband Douglas Hogan. Leaving to mourn brother George, sisters Thelma and Carol her children John, Stuart (Marilyn), Andrea, Patty (Paul) and Bobbie (Chris) and grandchildren Hannah, Morgan, Adrianna, Stuart, Nicholas and Claudia. Libby grew up on McKay Street in St. John’s and studied nursing, earning her RN from the General Hospital School of Nursing. She married in 1955 (Andrew Wells MD) and raised her five children before returning to practice nursing again when her children were older. She was known for her humour and quick wit and for the seemingly endless energy she put into her house and garden. Cremation has taken place. Visitation is on Monday March 19th at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave St. John’s from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday at Barrett’s at 11:00 a.m. with interment of ashes to follow at Mt.
