SHEPPARD Emma Parsons (nee Roper) Passed suddenly, but peacefully away on December 6, 2019 at the Health Sciences Centre, Emma Sheppard age 86 years. Predeceased by her Parents Edgar & Ethel Roper; siblings Mary Haag, Anne Ireland, Joseph Roper, Robert Roper, & Joan Roper; special sister in law Dorothy Sheppard; in-laws George Sheppard, Ruth Tisdel, Ernest Warren, & Frank Warren. Leaving to mourn with precious and loving memories are her children David Sheppard (Bonnie), Carol Codner (Alex), Ingrid Clarke (Greg); grandchildren Adam, (Amanda) Nicholas, Alexandra (Cory), Jeremy (Melantha), & Nicholas (Taylor); 5 great-grandchildren Harrison, Max, Noah, Kaelyn, & Connor, as well as many nieces & nephews. Also, many special friends and neighbours at Maplewood Apartments, Shaw Street. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the Eastern Health paramedicine unit, the ER staff at the Health Sciences Centre, to Dr. Robert Woodland for his many years of compassionate care, to the staff at Maplewood Apartments, and to Barrett’s Funeral Home for their service. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Saturday, December 7th from 7:00PM-9:00PM and on Sunday, December 8th from 2:00PM 4:00PM & 7:00PM-9:00PM. A service of remembrance will be held from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, December 10 at 11:00AM with a reception to follow at Barrett’s Reception Centre, St. John’s.
