Florence Williams

WILLIAMS Florence Our beautiful mother and grandmother Florence Williams passed peacefully away at the Carbonear Hospital on January, 19, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 64 years of age. Florence left this world with her heart full of love, caring and support of her family. She was born with the aid of a midwife in her Nanny Williams home in Brigus, and she lived in the Brigus area all her life. Besides her family, Florence loved her work and the young children she worked with; she was a teaching assistant for 25 years, most recently at Coley's Point Primary . Florence was predeceased by her father William (Bill) and mother Elizabeth (nee Percey) Williams, and her brother David Williams. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Dale Dawe of Paradise, Amanda Andrews (Hughie O'Keefe) of Paradise and Brent Wade (Charmaine Terry) of Brigus. Her grandchildren held her hand and filled her heart with love: Marcus and Chelsea Dawe (and their mother Marlene Bishop); and, Sadie Andrews (and her father Brian Andrews). She is also survived by her sister Bev Percey of Brigus and brother Randy Williams of Brampton Ontario. There was no shortage of love for Florence among the rest of her extended family and many close friends and co-workers, The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care she received from Doctors Rorke and Greenland at the HSC, and her wonderful home care workers. Cremation has taken place. The family will welcome visitors at a wake to be held at Broughton's Funeral Home in Brigus on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 10:00 A.M.- 9:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Brigus at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Donations gratefully accepted in Florence's memory can be made at Broughton's Funeral Home to the Coley's Point Primary Breakfast Program.
