Frederick Fewer

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Frederick Clarence Fewer of Lakeview, Harbour Main in his 74th year. Preceded in death by his parents: John & Mary, in-laws: Madeline & James Quinlan, son-in-law Ward Murphy, brother Joseph (survived by Margaret). Left with fond memories are his wife and steadfast advocate of forty-six years, Helen (nee Quinlan), daughter & son-in-law Jacqueline & Don, grandchildren, in whom he took extreme pride, Quinlan, Emmett & Mary Ellen, devoted siblings: Lucas, Michael, Angus, Isabel, their spouses, his in-laws in the Fewer & Quinlan families & a large circle of relations whose visits & innumerable kindness over the past thirteen months meant more than could ever be relayed. We start & end with family. Sincere appreciation to his family physician, Dr. Derek Fleming for his warmth & accommodation in treating “Skipper” for over a decade as well as rheumatology nurse practitioner, Kim Roberts-Pennell who followed Fred from his initial diagnosis. Special mention to care providers: Cynthia Hawco & Donna Coffin whose gentleness & professionalism will never be forgotten. At Fred’s request cremation has occurred. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 12 noon - 9 pm. A celebration of his life will take place at 7:30 pm from the Chapel.
