STAPLETON Genevieve Shirley Passed peacefully away surrounded by her husband and children on Monday, March 1, 2021. Genevieve Shirley Stapleton (Kennedy) age 81. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 61 years, Michael Stapleton; daughters Michelle Stapleton, Susan Stapleton (Sam Everard), Sandra Stapleton (Chris Rice) and only son Glenn Stapleton; grandchildren Melissa, Ashley Ann, Miranda, Julie, Brendan, Brandon and Amy; great grandchildren Connor and Maci; sisters Geraldine Vokey; brothers Rev. Kennedy (Catherine) and Aiden Kennedy (Lisa) as well as a large circle of family and friends. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered “peace be thine”. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
