JERRETT, Georgie Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear, Georgie Jerrett (nee Camp) February 5, 1929 – January 17, 2020. The youngest and only remaining member of George & Caroline (nee Bobbett) Camp’s family. Predeceased by her husband, Dave and their son, Bruce; parents, George & Caroline Camp; brother, Max (Jean) Camp; sisters, Millie (Arch) Hood, Irene (Shel) Churchill, Barb (Don) Manuel, Louise (Marvin) Barnes; brothers & sisters-in-law, Wilburt (Mary), Mary Elaine (Tom) Sparkes, Byron Hatt, Grace Clickner, Frank Dawson, Betty Wade, Marion Urich & Dana Brien. Leaving to mourn are sons, Rod (Bernadette), Ern (Karen), Peter (Debbie); daughter, Carolyn (Bill) Hiscock. Loving Nan to Gillian (Jeff) MacFarlane, Bruce (Megan) Hiscock, Matthew (Alvis), Andrew (Alison), Mark, Shana (Curtis) Lynch, Peter (Breanna), Toni (Travis); loving Nan-Nan to great grandchildren, Dakota & Parker MacFarlane, Georgia & Lucy Hiscock. Also leaving to mourn are brothers-in-law, George (Janet), Charlie (Mary), Tom Brien; sisters-in-law, Ruth Hatt, Patricia Dawson, Lynn (Mick) Meaney & Nancy (Charles) Lindsay. Georgie was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word - family and home were most important to her. An excellent cook & baker, she always welcomed visitors into her home and supported every good cause that came her way. For many years she worked tirelessly with St. George’s ACW & Wilcox Gardens. She was an active member of the Brigus Historical & Conservation Society, The Women’s Institute, and a generous contributor of knitted hats & blankets to the Janeway. A very special thank you to the kind & compassionate staff of 4 South, Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion. Georgie and her family appreciated all of the warmth and comfort you provided. As per Georgie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Visitation to take place on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2020 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Funeral service to take place at Broughton’s Memorial Chapel , Brigus on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. Inurnment at a later date.
