Gerald Sidney Strickland

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on May 6, 2018, Gerald Sidney Strickland, aged 79 years. Leaving to mourn wife Bertha of 52 years; son Gerald Blaine; sisters Marjorie King, Cora Kendell; sisters-in-law Doris Strickland, Joan Legge (Eric), Donna Harris (Wesley), brother-in-law Doug Kendell (Ena); and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents John and Hannah Strickland; brothers Hubert (Margaret) Chesley (Jessie); sister Myrtle Coombs (Charles). Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, May 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 10 at 11 a.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
