Gertrude Power — ST JOHN'S

POWER (NEE MEANEY) Gertrude It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gertrude Power announce her passing on Thursday, May 23, 2019, age 87 years. She is now joined with our dear father, Kevin Power. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, her four children: Donna Wadden (Gary), Doreen Cahill (Fred), Tina Power Hann (Fabian) and Kevin (Krista) as well as nine grandchildren: Jennifer, David, Danny, Tommy, Paddy, Tiana, Stephanie, Nicholas and Katie. Gertrude also leaves to mourn her brothers: Jerome (Rosemarie), and Eugene (Betty); her sister: Madeline and sisters-in-law: Margaret Meaney and Maureen Meaney. She is predeceased by her parents: Edward and Margaret Meaney; twin brother: Michael; brothers: Gordon, Kenneth (Evelyn) and Thomas (Margaret) and her sisters: Anne Lee (Alban) and Mary Murray (Michael). Special thanks to all the staff at Agnes Pratt and to Chancellor Park for their care and kindness. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday 6-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 27th, 2019 from Caul’s Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
