SMITH Mary Jean (1926-2021) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Jean Smith on April 9th, 2021 at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her husband Max Smith; daughter Mary Jean; and son Owen Peter “OP” Smith. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons John (Wayne) Smith, James Smith, Robert Smith (Joan), Gary Smith (Anne), and Geoff Smith (Diane); her daughters Carol Bailey (Jeff), and Cathy Cranford (Ray); daughter in law Marjorie; son in law Jim Rose; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd on Monday, April 12 from 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 13th at 11AM from The Basilica Cathedral of St. John the Baptist by invitation only. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
