Smith, Gordon Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, on Sunday, April 21, 2019, age 95, of Cherry Lane, Manuels, in the loving presence of his family. Predeceased by his loving wife Edith nee Scott (2011), sisters Rachel Greenslade, Ethel Nicholson, and Edith Houlihan, twin brothers Arch & Caleb Smith, also brothers Hubert, Charlie, Bob and John Burridge of New York. Leaving to mourn his loving children; Carol (Terry Gosse), Gerald (Karen), Donna (Frank Crotty), Linda (Chris Badcock) and Brenda (Brian Tilley) ; treasured grandchildren, Krista Gosse Ash (Mike), Justin Williams (Natasha Denty), Michael Gosse (Danielle), Danielle Crotty (Neil Gibbons), Matthew Smith, Brittany Tilley (Brandon Bussey), Stephen Crotty (Sara), Brandon Tilley and Andrew Badcock, very special great-grandchildren, Aiden and Keegan Gosse, Callie and James Ash and Liam Crotty. Also leaving to mourn sisters-in-law Edna Keefe (Dan), Marg Morgan (Cyril) and Lorannia Burridge. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at the Veterans Pavilion for the wonderful care and compassion they gave our father during his three years with them, your kindness will never be for gotten. Visitation will take place in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday, 7- 9 PM, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 2 PM. Internment at the Anglican Cemetery, Topsail.
