MILLER Harold Sidney July 2, 1931 - March 25, 2020 It is with great sadness the family of Harold Sidney Miller announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Kenny’s Pond. Dear husband of Melvie Miller for 65 wonderful years. Loving father of sons Andy (Sherri), Jim (Lucy) and daughter Deb Noseworthy (Scott) and late daughter Sue (partner Dave Crosbie). Proud Grampy to treasured grandchildren Luke (Pam) Miller, Mark Miller (Alyse Stuart), Daniel (Allison) Miller, Cody (Catherine) MacDonald, Jamie Miller, Scott (Jaime) MacDonald, Brett MacDonald (Leah), Jessica Noseworthy, Drew MacDonald and Matt Noseworthy; and to cherished great-grandchildren Victor and Daisy Miller, Bailey and Kai Miller, Leo and Sadie MacDonald and his newest precious addition Jude Miller MacDonald born 8:50 pm March 24th, 2020. Also lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Francis C. Angel, sister-in-law Lorraine Miller and many other close relatives and friends. Predeceased by his dearly beloved daughter Susan Elizabeth Miller, his parents Sadie (nee Bennett) and Llewellyn Miller; sisters Jean Skanes, Phyllis Angel, Elizabeth Hiscock and brother Llewellyn Miller, brothers-in-laws Ron Skanes and Jack Hiscock. Harold was a pioneer in Ham Radio (VO1LZ) and the computer community of Newfoundland working with Newfoundland and Labrador Computer Services. He was foremost a family man, a creator, an inventor, a true gentleman who lived life to the fullest knowing our most precious asset is time. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Kenny’s Pond, Community Health Care nurses, Dr. Patrick O’Shea, Dr. Andrew Hutton, Dr. Amy Tong, The Heart Failure Clinic and the many other healthcare providers. As per Harold’s request cremation has taken place. Due to the Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 no visitation or ceremony will take place at this time. A visitation and celebration of his life will take place at a later date, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Harold’s memory to St. Mark’s Anglican Church (Phone 726-3213 or www.stmarksanglican.ca) or charity of one’s choice.
