Harriett Ruby Matthews

Passed peacefully away at the age of 94 at the home of her son Bruce, surrounded by loved ones. Predeceased by her sister and best friend Betty Hanlon, November 15, 2017; niece Cathy Mugford, (Doug and Judy). Left to celebrate her life are her sons David (Jan), Bruce (Gwen), Keith (Colleen) and Neil (Rae-Ann); special niece Libby Warren (Colin); five grandchildren Kyla, Stephen (Amy), Stephanie, Krystal (and her mother Kelly) and Gabrielle; four great-grandchildren Laura and Erica Masey, Nicholas and Jason Matthews; special family friend Kippy Halliday and the staff of Halliday’s Meat Market; many other special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2-9 pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 19 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruby’s memory may be made to the St. John’s Boys & Girls Club.
