Hubert Morley Locke

Hubert Morley Locke passed peacefully away after a brief illness on January 8, 2019, at the age of 80. Predeceased by his parents Morley and Winnifred (nee Young), sister Maisie Williams and brother Wilson. Leaving to mourn his wife of 58 years, Geraldine (nee Chapman), his children, Norman (Ruby), Sandra (Barry Rodgers), Donald (Catherine) and Laura Pomeroy (David King); brothers Clifford (Viola) and Gerald (Paulette Janes); brothers-in-law Bruce Williams, Jerry (Lillian) Chapman, sisters-in-law Mary Locke, Geraldine Chapman; grandchildren Matthew Locke, Nicole Ryan, Molly Pomeroy and Megan Locke, along with a large circle of extended family and all those who held the privilege of considering Hubert a friend. In keeping with personal wishes cremation has taken place. The family welcome your presence for a time of support and visitation on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM. A service of remembrance, giving thanks for a life well lived, will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel (329 Freshwater Road) on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Eastern Health Palliative Care Program would be gratefully accepted. Special thanks to Dr. Rogers and her palliative care team at the Miller Centre and public health nurse Penney Blizknova, for her attentive care.
