Irene Florence Shute

SHUTE Irene Florence (Baker) Dec. 15, 1929 – Nov. 20, 2019 Irene Florence Shute (Baker) passed away in her 89th year on November 20th, 2019 in St. John’s, NL. She was born on December 15th, 1929 in North West Brook to Josiah and Annie Mae Baker. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Shute (1988) and her loving partner of 27 years Leo Aylward (2017), her siblings: Gertrude Noseworthy, Bill Baker, Gord Baker and Ron Baker and her sons Glen Shute and Gary Shute. Left to mourn her sister Judy Harrison; brother Les Baker, her loving children: Doug (Janet), Terry (Betty), Paul (Manami), Debra (Bob), Deanne (Brennan), Peter (Colleen), Dean (Denise), Richard (Darcy) and her 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Tiffany Village especially the fourth-floor staff, for their support and care in her final days. Cremation had taken place. Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 23rd on 12pm-5pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. A Memorial will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Sunday, November 24th at 1pm. Interment with take place on Monday, November 25th at 2pm from Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
