Isabel Mary Foster

FOSTER Isabel Mary (nee Parsons) Isabel Mary Foster (nee Parsons), age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home in St. John’s, NL. She was born September 8, 1926 in St. John’s to William and Annie Parsons (nee Starkes). Isabel was a 1942 graduate of Bishop Spencer College and was married to Cyril John Foster for 61 years until his passing in 2014. She worked for American Aerated Bottling Plant in St. John’s and also served as the Deputy Returning Officer and eventually Returning Officer for St. John’s East Extern for over 50 years. Isabel is survived by her son Keith (Faye), daughter Karen (Craig) and son Gary, as well as grandchildren Amy, Bryan, Kali and Zach, great-granddaughter Ava and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by sister Lillian and brother William. Family, friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to attend Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd., St. John’s on Monday, December 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 to reminisce, grieve or just chat. Funeral Service will take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019. A reception at Carnell’s will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
