Ivy Rebecca Earle

With heavy hearts, we her family, announce the passing of Ivy Rebecca Judiah Earle (nee Turner), September 15, 1951 – November 20, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Ivy is predeceased by her parents Stella (nee Oldford) and Harold Turner; brother Malcolm Turner; sister Nita Powell; brothers-in-law Lou Denty, Tom Crean, Hardy Brett and Hubert Powell. She will be missed by her loving husband of 42 years, Harry; children Krista Fitzpatrick (Chris), Cherie Whalen (Graham), Christopher and Michelle (Trevor Hancock). Also leaving to mourn are “Nanny’s Boys”: Carter, Ethan, Nathan, Shawn and Michael. She leaves her four sisters Adelaide Crean, Melvina Brett, Mona Gassè (Russ) and Glenda Denty; her two brothers Benjamin Turner (Janna) and Kevin Turner (Joan); sisters-in-law Joan Ethridge (Ron), Mary Northrup (Jack) and Ruth Earle-Joyce (Brian Joyce); brothers-in-law Wallace Earle (Judy) and Alex Earle (Ethel); and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the First Responders. Also, to the Mount Pearl Square Dialysis Staff, and family and friends for their support over the years. The family will accept visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday November 22 and Friday November 23, from 10-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove, on Saturday November 24 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Bauline Line Ext.
