WHALEN Jean Alice (nee Randell) June 28, 1930 – Dec. 26, 2019 Passed away in the presence of her loving family on December 26, 2019 Jean Whalen of St. John’s, NL at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her husband Reginald, parents Clement and Edith Randell, brother James Randell, brother and sister-in-law Clement and Myra Randell, and sisters-in-law Edna (Gordon) Green and Ruth Gill. She was dearly loved and will be forever missed by her children Jackie (Guy) Estabrooks, Robert (Darlene) Whalen, Valerie (Howard) Wall, Andrew (Connie) Whalen, Barry (Cheryl) Whalen and Donnie (Beth) Whalen as well as her cherished grandchildren Adam (Joanne) McCullough, Wyatt and Kelby (Nisse) Estabrooks, Alex and Amanda Whalen, Taylor and Cara (Nathan Morgan) Wall, Kyle (Courtney Stalwick) and Matthew Whalen (Brittany Conrad), Trevor Whalen, Grace Whalen, great grandchildren Wilson and Tristan McCullough and her newest joy – her 8-week old great grandson Ellis Estabrooks. Also mourning her loss are sisters-in-law Emma Randell and Renee Champion, and brothers-in-law Ray (Alma) Whalen and Fred Gill, as well as a large circle of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to the medical staff at the HSC Emergency Department and Coronary Care Unit, especially Dr. Hall, for your care and compassion for Mom and our family at this difficult time. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday December 29, 2019 from 11-1pm and 2-4pm. Funeral Service will take place on Monday December 30th from the Chapel at Saint Mary the Virgin Anglican Church at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Blackmarsh Road Salvation Army Cemetery.
