COOMBS Jeff Mr. Jeff D. Coombs of Upper Island Cove passed away after a short battle with cancer at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, January 17, 2020. Mr. Coombs was 58 years old. He leaves to mourn: daughter, Athena Coombs (Rachel); mother, Effie Coombs; sisters, Beverly (Bill) Lee & Brenda (Dave) Barrett; mother-in-law, Helen Sheppard; siblings-in-law, Beverley Sheppard (David Hollett), David (Helena) Sheppard, Richard (Glenda) Sheppard, Wendy (Bruce) Sparkes & Tolson Sheppard. And a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family, friends & co-workers. He was pre-deceased by: wife, Deborah Lynn Coombs; father, Walter Coombs; brother, Grant Coombs and father-in-law, Lewis Sheppard. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, January 23rd from St. Peter’s Anglican Church & Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove on Tuesday & Wednesday: 2-8 P.M. & Thursday: 11 A.M.-1 P.M.
