CONWAY Jerome Francis January 7, 1946 - December 08, 2019 Passed away in the loving embrace of his family after a short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Jerome F. Conway, Master Plasterer, age 73 years. Loving and devoted husband of Sheila (Callahan) Conway and treasured father of Cindy Conway, New York and Karen and her husband Greg Gill of St. John’s. Jerome loved his family above all else but his five grand children, Kate Robinson, Luke Robinson, Claire Gill, Natalie Gill and Ryan Gill were the center of his Universe – he leaves them a legacy of love and laughter, caring and sharing. Jerome is predeceased by his parents, John and Rose Conway, his siblings, Anna Gosse, Gus Conway, Rosemary McClosky, Charl Conway, Margaret Merrill, Leonard Conway, Ambrose Conway, Frances Conway and Gerry Conway; his in laws, Robert and Marjorie Callahan, Diane Callahan, Bob Callahan and Randy Callahan. Mourning Jerome along with Sheila and their family are his siblings Helen Conway, Fred (Lucy Doran), Denis (Vera Porter), Noel (Sandra Brophy), Justin (Flo Evans), Frank (Marian Samson), Andy (Geraldine Barron) and their families. Jerome will be lovingly remembered by the Callahan family, Linda (Bud Ford), Peggy (Paul LaBonte), Gary (Jackie Humphries), Rick (Gail Simmonds), Marilyn (George Hutchings), Debbie (Kevin Dooley), Connie (Kevin Cooney), Terry and sisters-in-law, Margie (Walsh) and Patricia A. Laframboise. Jerome leaves behind a large circle of lifelong friends and family who will remember him for his professional ethics, dry wit, and zest for life. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Thursday, December 12th at 9:30 a.m. with cremation to follow. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Mazol Shriners Transportation Fund, 530 Topsail Road, St. John’s NL A1E 2C5.
