Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, December 7, 2018, Joan Gilbert of Victoria, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband Cal; parents: Harry and Agnes Hunt; brother Harry Hunt; brother-in-law Gerald Cain; niece Debbie London; great-niece Katie Youngberg. Leaving to mourn, daughter Krista Gilbert, Upper Island Cove; son Cally (Tina), St. Albert, AB; two step-grandchildren: Whitney and Lexi; one brother Bernie (Sharon) Hunt, Torbay; three sisters: Eileen (Randy) Crocker, Paradise, Betty Cain, Riverhead, Hr. Grace, and Madonna (John) Kavanagh, CBS; sister-in-law Alice Hunt, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday, 2:30-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon, 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
