John Douglas Dooley

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday March 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, John Douglas Dooley, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Ronald and Flora (nee Gollop) Dooley and brothers Gordon, Gerald, Ronald, Lenard and Allan. Left to mourn with loving memories is his wife Audrey (nee Swain); step-children Wayne Cowan (Gerri), Dianna Cowan (George, deceased), Laura Cowan (Doug, deceased), Debbie Rose (Gary), Sandra Slade (Harry), Judy Flemming (Steve), Darryl Cowan (Irene), Glenn Cowan (Tracy), Ricky Cowan (Gina); sisters Florence Whitten (Douglas), Rosemary Schembri (Joe); sister-in-law Carol Dooley as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, including his many camping buddies from Gushue's Pond Park. John was a lifelong dairy farmer on Topsail Road. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday, March, 22 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and on Friday, March 23 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from Mary Queen of the World Church on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in John’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
