Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on March 23, 2018, age 90 years, of Topsail. Predeceased by his brother Basil, and sister Trudy. Left with loving memories are Don & Moya Mercer, Angie (Jason) and their son Avery, Donny (Charmine) and their children Sarah, Eric, Blake, Bruce (Natalie) and their children Bella, Aaron, and Hunter, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday 10:00a.m - 2:00p.m & 7:00 p.m-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service in The James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Inurnment at St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery, Topsail. No flowers by request, donations in John’s memory may be made to Cemetery Fund.
