John Hennessey — HOLYROOD

John Hennessey
HENNESSEY John L. 1971 - 2019It is with such heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of John Leslie Hennessey, age 48, at his home on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. John was the beloved son of the late Walter and Mary (Tobin) Hennessey. John was a kind, easy going spirit with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved nature, sports, especially soccer and hockey (Philadelphia Flyers was his team). He enjoyed travelling and was fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit many other countries. He loved to cook, never afraid to experiment and try new things. John was bright, always up to date on current events and always up for the Jeopardy challenge. John was extremely proud of his two sons, Philip, a bright Masters graduate of Literature, and his young son, Kieran, who was the apple of his eye. Whenever one ran into John, it was only a matter of minutes before he took out his phone and showed you pictures. He will be sadly missed by his two sons: Philip of Ontario, Kieran and his mother Terri, both of Moncton; brothers and sisters: Beverly, Liz (Mike), Walt (Jackie), Danny (Diane), Mary Clare (Aiden), Bill (Franca) and Michael; nieces and nephews: Scott, Lisa, Stephen, Steve, Shawn, Trevor, Lesley, Jenine, Maggie, Mario, Patrick, Juliana and Leah; cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be Monday, June 17th from 2:00 – 3:30 pm, followed by funeral mass at 4:00 pm at St. Edward’s Parish, Long Shore Road, Kelligrews. In memory of John, a donation can be made to the Kieran Hennessey Trust Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. To sign the guest registry, or to send a message of condolence, please visit www.hickeysfuneralhome.ca John, we love you lots.
