Joseph Patrick Johnson

Aged 78 Passed peacefully away in one of his favourite places, Seminole, Florida on February 10, 2019 in his 78th year. Predeceased by his parents, James and Ellen, his first wife Amy (Day), his daughter Shelly Carew, brothers Jim (Anne) and Gerard and sisters Patricia and Betty (Mel) Cooper. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 44 years Carmelita (McDonald); children Joe (Gail), Philip (Rhonda), Paul (Jason), Melanie (Stephen), David (Tara) and Bernard, son-in-law Paul Carew (Janice); precious grandchildren Amy, Adam, Emily, Katie, Miranda, Haley, Sarah, Alex, Elizabeth, Matthew, Eric and Kaylie; brother Garry; Sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Ed Martin, Lorraine Johnson, Cecil and Joyce Day, Gus McDonald (deceased), Pat and Daphne McDonald, Gerry McDonald (Ann, deceased), and Scotty and Janet Duff; also many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends both at home and in Florida. Special Thanks to the doctors and nurses at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. To Bev and Dave, he cherished the many memories of travelling together. To dear friends, Paul and Holly Martin, thank you for being there to the end, for the never-ending ways of helping through this difficult time. Your love, support and friendship are truly appreciated. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted.
