KELLY Josephine Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on February 24, 2020 at the Health Sciences Centre, Josephine Kelly, age 88 years. A dearly loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Josephine is predeceased by her husband Des (2000) and her son Chris (1985). Left with loving memories are her children Jan Winters (Fraser), Terry (Anne), Tony (Mary), Barb Morgan (Paul), Tim (Rose), Stephen (Rhonda), Lisa; Beloved grandchildren Stephen Winters, Scott Winters (Lindsay), Jeff Kelly (Jennifer Sharkey), Chris Kelly, Laura Kelly, Penney Morgan (Chris Squires), Erika Morgan, Andrew Morgan, Heather Winsor (Jordan), Michael Kelly, Victoria Kelly (Trevor Hickey), Matthew Kelly, Kelly Godard; Precious great-grandchildren Ireland and Lauren Winters; Nick and Emma Winters; Many nieces and nephews; also sisters-in-law Maureen Davis and Monica Penney and special cousin Nancy Walsh. Thank you to her long-time care givers Paska, Victoria and Anna; Pharmacists Glenn and Tracy; doctors and nurses in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit at the Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and kindness. A very special thank you to her life long friends Elizabeth and Mike Dillon, nephew Brian Kelly, Dr. Katie Saunders and her office staff, Pamela, Beverly and Pamela, Trudy Smith (Nurse), Ryan Dinn (Social Worker), Chris Squires and Sharon Reddy for their kindness and support over the years. Words can never express our deep appreciation to you all. Mom was a strong, kind, and compassionate woman whose presence on earth made this world a much happier and beautiful place. She was a devoted mother and very proud of her children and always encouraged them to be kind, work hard and do their best. She always considered her children to be her greatest achievement. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her shining stars and she loved each one of them with all her heart. Mom’s door was always open to enjoy a visit, a chat and a cup of tea. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Wednesday, February 26, 7-9 pm and Thursday, February 27, 2-9 pm at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Funeral Mass will take place Friday, February 28 at 9:30am from St. Paul’s Church, Newfoundland Drive. Internment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road. Donations can be made to the School Lunch Association or another charity of one’s choice.
