McDONALD Kimberly It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family of Kimberly McDonald regret to announce her passing on Friday, February 21, 2020, at the age of 53, after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father Thomas Hoyles; infant brother Barry; aunt Agnes Hoyles and mother and father-in-law: Laura and Jack McDonald. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 28 years Derm; her son Darren; mother Louise Hoyles; sister: Tina Hoyles; brothers: Todd (Tanya) and Gary (Bonnie); brothers-in-law: Wayne McDonald (Linda) and Jerry McDonald (Dallas); sisters-in-law: Patricia Cooper (Allan), Elaine Crowe (Gerry), Linda McDonald (Brian) and Jackie McDonald; a large number of nieces and nephews; her best friends Marilyn Dickinson, Joyce McDonald, and Kim Whitty, extended family and friends. Special thanks to all her wonderful caregivers throughout the years as well as Dr. Sheilagh McGrath, Dr. M Seal and nurse Gina. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 10:00 am – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett’s Mt. Pearl Chapel with cremation to follow. Interment will be held at Gate of Heaven on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Kimberly’s memory to The Dr. H.
