Lillian Mary Hancock (nee Ivany)

Passed peacefully away at her home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 Lillian Hancock in her 100th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Eldon (1997); parents Alfred and Charlotte; brothers and sisters Malcolm, Harvey, Lewis, Violet, Daisy and Rose as well as Winston Ivany (Michael). Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her son Wayne (Jane); grandchildren Matthew (Katie), Karen (Corey) and great-grandchildren Samuel, Jack and Benson; brother Tilson (Bridie) as well as special niece Heather Ivany and good friend Shirley Hiscock. Lillian also leaves to mourn, other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thank you to her caregivers Laura and Cassey of Caregivers Inc. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service of celebration will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2 pm interment to follow at Mount Please Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family following the burial service for a reception located at Barrett’s Reception Centre. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to the Memorial Fund of Wesley United Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
