Lorna Jeanette Macdonald (nee Strong)

Passed peacefully away in Whitbourne, surrounded by her loving family, Lorna MacDonald, age 86. Predeceased by her dear and devoted husband Vaughan; her parents Lillian and Arthur Strong; parents-in-law Elwood and Vera MacDonald; her brothers and sisters Raymond, William, Cecil, Gladys, Elizabeth, and Rosemary. Left to mourn are her children Scott (Denice), Trent, and Elizabeth; her grandson Nick (Leanne); her great-grandson Kade; her sister Joan Duffitt; her brother Angus (Winnie); a great many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Vardy’s Funeral Home on Monday, November 19th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will take place at the United Church in Lady Cove on Tuesday, November 20th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted for the School Lunch Program at Random Island Academy.
