Madeline Quigley (nee Hickey)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Madeline Quigley nee Hickey, aged 90, passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Philip, parents Lucy and James Hickey and sister Theresa (Ralph Foley). Leaving to mourn her children: Lynn, Margo, Brian (Brenda Lewis) and Gene (Cindy), her sister Lucy (John Chafe) and brother-in-law George White, her grandchildren Ashley (Corey Pike), Brad, Michael, Alana, Nicholas, Meaghan, Laura and Sarah, great-grandchildren Annika Hoban and Peyton Pike. Also missed by her fury friends Sissy, Blacky, Chevy and Rob. Madeline is lovingly remembered by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A sincere and heartfelt thank you is extended to Dr. C. Orr and Dr. S. Ryan as well as the nurses and staff on the fourth-floor west, St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Moms integrity will live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from Caul’s Chapel. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the S.P.C.A.
