Margaret Marie Stanford

1927-2018 Passed peacefully away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 just two weeks passed her 91st birthday after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Margaret Marie Stanford (nee Pearcey). Predeceased by husband Stephen (1991), parents Alice and Charles Pearcey, brothers Charles, Raymond and Francis and sisters Sheila Herbert and Dorothy Crummell. Left to mourn her sad loss her eleven children: Wayne (London, Ontario) Gary, Roberta (Bobbi), Karen (Leonard Breen) of St. John’s, Gail (Leduc, Alberta), Keith (Susan), Glenn (Debbie) both of St. John’s, Craig (Dianne) Oakville, Ontario, Michelle (Graham Jolliffe) Clarenville, Noel (Vickie) and Paul (Donna) both of St. John’s, eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers: Harold (Jean), Edward (Shirley) and Leonard (Doris), sisters: Lorraine (LeRoy Harden) and Elizabeth (James Freeland). Also, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law nieces and nephews. Leaving to mourn her many bowling buddies from three different leagues at St. Pat’s Bowling Lanes and her bingo and card playing friends, especially Sandra Taylor and Helen Reid. Special thank you to the nurses and staff of 7 West St. Clare’s for all their kindness and care given to Margaret. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No flowers by request. In her memory donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
