It is with great sadness and wonderful memories we announce that Margaret Harriett Seward (Finn) aged 85 passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Margaret was a strong, kind hearted, fun loving woman who spent her entire life caring for others. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew, parents James and Mary Finn, brother Jimmy, sisters Lucy, Rose and her twin sister Martha. Leaving to mourn are her devoted and loving son Michael (Cindy); daughter Joanne (Trevor) and her pride and joy her grandchildren, Andrea (Mike), Jonathan, Mallary and Lori; great-grandson Harvey and great-granddaughter Haylee. Margaret also leaves to mourn her sisters Theresa (Peter O’Dea, deceased), Bessie (Jim) Hearn, Philomena (Cecil, deceased) Chafe, Rita (George) Chafe, Pauline (Gordon, deceased) Chafe and Ann (Douglas, deceased) Putt; brother Michael, sisters-in-law Ivy Finn and Mary Smith; brothers-in-law Joseph Finn, Cyril Chafe and Tom Blyde. She also leaves with fond memories a large number of nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for like her own and a long list of children she cared for in her home over the years. As well as her many friends at Chancellor Park especially her close friend Lucy. Margaret will be missed and fondly remembered by so many. A special thank you to the staff of Chancellor Park who took such loving care of Margaret or as they called her “Mom”. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Margaret’s name to Rainbow Riders. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, September 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 from St. Kevin’s Church, Goulds, Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Goulds. “A mom’s hug lasts long after she lets go.”
