e SILVA Maria Manuela Ladeira It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our loving daughter, sister and aunt Maria Manuela Ladeira e Silva, on 18 May 2020, at the age of 54. Predeceased by Manuel Augusto Vieira e Silva (father). Leaving to mourn Generosa (mother), José Manuel (brother), Marilyn (sister-in-Law), Alexandra (niece), Tiago and Marco (nephews), and Christine (sister), Roderick Greening (brother-in-law), along with family and many friends in Newfoundland, Portugal and elsewhere. Special thanks to amazing friends who have given so much to Maria, especially in the last few months, as well the Doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit. Maria was respected and loved by all. She had a big heart, especially when it came to her niece Alexandra and nephews Tiago and Marco. She always celebrated life devoting time to her friends, throughout good times but also in the hardships. She loved her career at Memorial University and made many meaningful lifelong relationships with so many. She was loved by all those she touched and will be greatly missed. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to The Cancer Society or charity of choice.
