HAJEK Maria Passed peacefully away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, Maria Hajek (nee Hartner), age 82 years. Predeceased by her parents Johann and Margarethe Hartner and husband Ewald. Leaving to mourn are her children, Uli (Rick), Dieter (Kim) and Martin (Chantale); her grandchildren Stephen (Emily), Angela (Andrew), Adam (April) and Jason (Richelle); great-grandchild Darian, and relatives in Vienna, Austria, particularly her cherished cousin Maria Tötzl. A special thank you to Sadie Graham, Ruth Thomas and Marjorie Frampton for their caring friendship. Thank you, also, to the staff of Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home and to nurse practitioner Carmel Collins at the Miller Centre. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation. The family looks forward to the day when we can all be together to honour the memory of our dear mother and grandmother. Donations in Maria’s memory can be made to The Gathering Place.
