HYNES Marion Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 15th, 2020, Marion Fatima Hynes, aged 74 years. Predeceased by parents Pius and Kathleen Augot (nee Gorman); parents-in-law Thomas and Lillian Hynes; brother Michael; niece Terri Snook; great-nephew Joshua Bungay; and brothers-in-law Bill and Tom. Leaving with broken hearts and treasured memories, her husband Johnny; daughter Katrina (Craig); brother Frank (Bernadette); sister Geraldine (Pat, deceased); sisters-in-law Rita (Dawson) and Joyce; brother-in-law Hughie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and a large circle of family and friends; members of the St. Peter’s Parish community. The family would like to thank Dr. Kenny as well as the medical staff, nursing staff and paramedics at both St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre. A specific thank you to Dr. Anna Smith and continuing care nurses for all of their help once mom came home. Special thank you to her loving nieces Angela Bungay, R.N., Jeanette Augot, R.N. and Cynthia Augot, R.N., for going above and beyond providing continuous care and support for mom to allow her to be at home in her final days; words will never express our immense gratitude. Final thank you to Fr. Dohey for providing prayers and comfort. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 from 2 p.m – 4 p.m and 7 p.m – 9 p.m and on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 from 12 noon – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 from St. Peter’s Church, Mt. Pearl at 10 a.m with interment to follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion’s memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or an animal shelter of your choice. Forever in our hearts.
