SPURRELL Wilfred April 10,1931 – April 3,2021 It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we the family of Wilfred (Wilf) Spurrell announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend on Saturday April 3, 2021 at the age of 89 at St.Clare’s Hospital. Wilf passed in the presence of his loving sons. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril and Katherine Spurrell and his son David. Also predeceased by his sisters Harriett Mathuz, Alfreda Porter and brothers William Spurrell and Frank Spurrell. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts the love of his life and wife of 71 years Helen (Nellie) Murdoch, his cherished sons Keith (Jackie) and Craig (Gail) His 6 grandchildren Kelly (Vince), Matthew (Andrea), Timothy, Hollie (Chris), Taylor and Heather and 4 great grandchildren, sister Linda (Kevin) Power, brother Alex (Sharon) Spurrell and a large circle of friends especially the Bay Roberts 50 Plus Club. Wilf was true gentleman and a friend to all and will be missed more then words can say. He was always the life of the party and had a wonderful charm and sense of humor. Special thanks to the staff of 4 East St Clare’s Hospital for their care and kindness. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his family physician Dr. Zaid Ramjohn for his exceptional care and kindness over the years. Due to the Covid pandemic restrictions there will be a limited visitation by invitation only on Thursday April 8,2021 at Moores Funeral Home in Bay Roberts followed by a service for immediate family only Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House St. John’s. Blessed is the life that enjoyed the journey: “I had a wonderful life”
