ANDERSON Charles (Andy) George Charles (Andy) George Anderson was born in Humboldt, SK on September 3, 1921. At age 99, he passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion (CMVP) on April 8, 2021. He served as a Signalman in the Canadian Navy during WWII and met his wife Grace of 74 years while stationed in St. John’s, NL. After the war, they moved to Humboldt for 7 years, where he began his lifelong career with CN Railway. In 1952, they transferred to Toronto where they lived until they returned to St. John’s in 2006 to be close to family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Grace Anderson (nee Pennell), parents George and Helen Anderson, eight siblings, and son-in-law Terence Crawford. Left to celebrate his life is daughter Carla Crawford; grandchildren Skye (Rocky) and Ryan; great grandchildren Alexander and Anna; sister-in-law Betty and family; brother-in-law Boyd; brother-in-law Eddie (Anne); along with numerous friends and family. To the nurses, doctors and staff at the CMVP, you were all so kind and caring to Andy and family, thank you for all you do. At Andy’s request, cremation has taken place at Carnell’s with no visitation. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will take place at a later date.
