MURPHY Mary ‘Mae” (nee Norman) 1927-2020 It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Mary ‘Mae” Murphy (nee Norman) of Long Harbour announces her passing. Mary (Mae) passed away at Lions Manor, Placentia on, February 26th. 2020 at the age of 92. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children, Eugene (Linda); Brenda (Alec); Verna (Wayne); Arleen (Ro); Barry (Mona); Mary (Clyde); Darrell (Judy); Joseph; Perry (Jeannine); Ed (Darlene); grandchildren, Donny, Rowena, Tammy, Stephen, Bradley, Natasha, Toby, Shane, Christopher, Danny, Jonathan, Rolanda, Jessica, Dylan, Brandon, Rebecca, Calvin, Darryl, Katie, Tara and Olivia; 25 great-grandchildren, plus a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Tobias Murphy; sons, Donald, Calvin and Toby; parents, John & Effie Norman; brothers, Ned (wife Una); Mark (wife Margaret); Leo; Ron (wife Martha); Mike (wife Mary); Fred (wife Marg); Cyril (wife Alexis); Jack (wife Mary); her sister Theresa (husband Francis) and her brothers in-law Peter and Patrick Murphy. Mae will always be remembered for her love for her family, her giving heart and her great sense of humor. The Murphy Family will be accepting visitors at Holloways Funeral Home, Whitbourne on Friday, February 28th. 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. Jerome’s Church, Long Harbour on Saturday, February 29th. At 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Jerome’s Cemetery, Long Harbour. In Mary’s memory donations may be made to “The Gathering Place” or flowers gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Holloway’s Funeral Home Whitbourne.
