Mary Meehan (nee Ring)

Passed peacefully away on March 20th, Mary Meehan in her 95th year. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Bridget Ring (Lee), her husband Hubert Meehan, her sisters Catherine (Ray) Howe, Geraldine (Ank) Murphy, Doris (Joe) Flynn, Gabriel (Harry) Teasdale, Marguerite (“Bud”) Ross and brothers Jack (Joan), Billy (Sadie), Ray and Pat. Leaving to mourn numerous nieces and nephews to whom she was very close throughout her life. Mary was a lifetime resident of St. John’s, interspersed with Florida vacations during the winter. She was a wonderful, caring daughter, wife, sister, and aunt, and took an active interest in the lives of her siblings, nieces and nephews. She lived an active and fulfilling life and was an avid gardener, loved knitting and crocheting and was a constant reader. A special thank you to the staff at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home for the excellent support they provided during the past decade where Mary contentedly called home. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, March 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Kilbride on Saturday, March 23rd at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
